Questions

Loft & garage conversions questions

Is my loft suitable for a conversion?
Head height is the main thing: around 2.2 metres at the ridge is the usual minimum. We measure and tell you honestly, and what a dormer would add if it's tight.
Do I need planning permission for a loft or garage conversion?
Often not, as most fall under permitted development. Dormers to the front and conservation areas are the exceptions. We'll tell you what applies and help you get drawings.
Can you match the brickwork when you fill in the garage door?
Yes. Matched bricks and mortar so the new wall looks original, not a patch.
How long does a garage conversion take?
It depends on what goes in it. We give you a programme with the quote and keep to the dates agreed.
